Job Title: Postdoctoral Position

Description:

We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on an NIH- funded project at the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center (MPRC), University of Maryland School of Medicine, starting in the spring of 2013. The project involves the use of fMRI and computational modeling methods to investigate decision-making and reinforcement learning in schizophrenia, and is part of a long- standing collaboration between MPRC investigators (James Waltz and James Gold) and the Brown University laboratory of Michael Frank.

Candidates are expected to work semi-independently in the supervision of experimental work and analysis of behavioral and physiological data. Funding is available for up to 4 years. Salary based on NIH Stipend Scale and depends on experience.

Requirements:

The position is intended for a highly-motivated individual with a new or recent Ph.D. in neuroscience or related field. Additionally, the candidate should have an interest in psychopathology, a strong computational background, familiarity with the Unix/Linux environment, and experience with scientific writing for publications or grant applications.
