| The Maryland Psychiatric Research Center (MPRC), an
international leader in schizophrenia research, is accepting
applications for a two-year training fellowship. The MPRC is
part of the Department of Psychiatry, University of Maryland
School of Medicine. The MPRC has a strong record of helping
fellows develop successful careers in diverse research areas
within the context of schizophrenia. Current research areas
include psychopharmacology, behavioral neuroscience,
developmental neuroscience, neurochemistry,
neuroendocrinology, neuroimaging, postmortem,
psychophysiology, cognitive neuroscience, drug treatment
trials, ethics, and genetics.
The goal of the fellowship is to train psychiatrists,
psychologists, pharmacists, and basic scientists to become
leading researchers in the area of schizophrenia. The
program combines individual mentored basic and clinical
research with educational experiences. General educational
activities include MPRC's internal course on schizophrenia,
journal clubs, meetings with invited outside senior
researchers, grant writing workshops, and individualized
career development. |
